Our Training equipment

Piper Archer

Basic Aircraft Training Device

Piper Archer

Small orange and white single-engine airplane on the ground.

The Piper Archer is a stable, predictable training platform equipped with a 180‑horsepower engine that provides solid performance in high‑temperature conditions common to Oklahoma summers. Its handling characteristics and systems layout make it well‑suited for IFR training, offering students a reliable environment for instrument procedures and workload management.

Cessna 150

Basic Aircraft Training Device

Piper Archer

Small single-engine airplane taxiing on runway.

The Cessna 150 is a simple, highly forgiving training aircraft ideal for initial flight instruction. Its basic systems and docile handling characteristics make it an excellent platform for developing core flying skills. Advanced students also benefit from time in the 150, as its simplicity reinforces fundamental control techniques and strengthens the baseline skills established early in training.

Basic Aircraft Training Device

Illuminated aircraft cockpit with navigation displays and instruments.

The Gleim BATD is a certified Basic Aviation Training Device available to students from any program, not just ours, and may be used without an instructor present. It provides an excellent environment for IFR procedures, checklist practice, and habit‑building without the cost of aircraft time. The simulator is fully approved for training credit when used with an instructor, allowing students to log applicable time toward their total while reinforcing the skills they’ve learned in the airplane.
